1Overview & Single Purpose
ResuMate ("we", "our", "us") provides an AI-powered job application management CRM and browser extension designed to help job seekers track application progress, extract job listing details, and generate professional Swiss-standard application materials.
2Data Collected by the ResuMate Chrome Extension
The ResuMate Chrome Extension operates with strict user-initiated interactions and minimal data collection:
- User-Triggered Job Extraction:When you click "Import to ResuMate" or interact with the floating assistant on a job posting page, the extension extracts job title, company name, location, and listing text/HTML to populate your personal job application tracker.
- Authentication Session Tokens: The extension accesses authentication session cookies for
resumate.chsolely to authenticate API requests to your ResuMate account. - Local Assistant Preferences: Preferences such as hiding the floating assistant for a specific website session or disabling it on a domain are stored locally on your device (using
sessionStorageandchrome.storage.local).
3How We Use & Process Data
All extracted job details and user-uploaded application materials are processed strictly to deliver our core service features:
- Populating your personal Job Application Dashboard and tracking status changes.
- Generating tailored application letters using state-of-the-art Generative AI models.
- Generating official Swiss RAV / ORP application compliance export reports.
4Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal identification information or browser data to any third party under any circumstances.
We utilize encrypted cloud infrastructure providers (such as Supabase for database authentication and storage under strict Row-Level Security policies) and secure LLM APIs for AI document processing.
5Data Retention & Your Rights
You maintain full control over your data. You may view, edit, export, or delete any tracked job applications or uploaded documents directly from your Dashboard at any time. Upon account deletion, all associated job records and personal data are permanently removed from our active databases.
